Over the years we have had many fantastic visitors, some of whom indulge in all things local.

One family (they know who they are), determine to forage, barter, and exchange throughout their week’s holiday not spending a groat on food. They have weasled out of us the best places to catch fish, find vegetables, harvest mussels and exchanged and bartered the products of their hard labour, some might call some it gleaning or even contraband, for all the food they need for the week.

Admirable.

Here are some very local producers with very few food miles, well worth covering when you stay with us.

Treleague – They make their own milk (glass bottles/  returns) and have a lovely local farm shop

Cadgwith Cove Crab – Crab and fresh fish caught in Cadgwith Cove

Cornish Honey – Honey from black bees working the heath of the Lizard

Anns pasties –  the best pasties however there’s also….

Gear Farm Shop – the best fresh grown veg and some say …..the best pasties

Kernowsashimi –World class fresh fish

Boscarnon Farm  – Ruby Red Devon Beef box from the cliffs above Coverack

Happy days!
